Besa is a dynamic and accomplished Human Resources Executive and Consultant with proven success in developing and leading award-winning initiatives and teams to achieve strategically focused results and enhance organisational effectiveness with over 15 years of experience leading public and private companies through significant change and growth. With mergers and acquisitions in her portfolio, Besa has developed particular expertise working with boards and executives to integrate and align leadership teams, Agile HR, organisational design and structures, HR Process Engineering & operational excellence, compensation, and talent management strategies. She is focused on driving strategic business goals, culture transformation, aggressive financial targets, and organisation design. Besa has brought her expertise to both public and private boards, working closely with the HR & Remuneration Committees. She has partnered with the boards and individual directors on highly sensitive executive issues, including a CEO transition, and was the lead advisor on developing strategic people strategies for Top Employer Certification. She has also successfully led the recruitment of highly engaged C-Suite executives, including CEOs and CFOs.

In her more than 15 years of experience in human resources leadership, operations, marketing and communications, she is known for being a strong business and operating partner who has built successful cultures and elevated talent. Demonstrated expertise in designing, creating, launching, and leading innovative programs to enhance corporate culture, optimise employee performance and support transformational change across organisations. Collaboratively build and maintain relationships, providing consultation and customer service to a diverse client base as a consultant and effective coaching, partnership and collaborative problem-solving across all organisational levels. Ability to design competitive and cost-effective compensation, benefits and total rewards strategies, proactively analysing, identifying and implementing cost-containment strategies while ensuring market competitiveness, staff engagement, and satisfaction.

Among her various accomplishments, she is credited with redefining people strategies, helping public companies get certified as Top Employers. She also led the effort to shift from narrative reporting to HR analytics and dashboard reporting. Besa has been nominated for the CHRO South Africa 2023 and EMEA HRO 2023 awards due to her contribution to the HR Field.
